On friction.

One of the most important functions of technology has been to remove friction. The friction of having to go to the store to shop, the friction of having to look things up on paper maps and the friction of trying to have a conversation with someone who’s not in the room with you.

All of those things were obstacles, small ones or not even perceived at all for people living with them, but obstacles. Things could’ve moved more smoothly than they did if there was just a different piece of technology present.

Don’t take those removed obstacles for granted, rather look for new ones to break down with the help of previous obstacles now solved.

What friction do you have in your life, and how could we solve that?
